Prudence Crandall Center, a domestic violence program serving the greater New Britain Area, is seeking qualified individuals to provide advocacy, counseling, support groups, and related services to victims. Immediate, FT and PT opportunities include:

Child Advocate: FT to provide services to children who are victims of/witnesses to domestic violence. Scheduled hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 12-8pm and Fridays 9-5. Starting Salary: $11-13/hr.

Shelter Advocate: FT to provide services in our emergency shelter and answer the 24-hour crisis hotline. Scheduled hours for this position are Monday-Friday 1-9 pm, on-call 2 weekends per month and some holiday coverage required. Starting Salary: $11-13/hr.

Per Diem Shelter Advocates: To provide services in our emergency shelter and answer the 24-hour hotline. Work a flexible schedule of 0-31 hours per week, primarily overnights and weekends, some holiday coverage required. Starting salary: $10/hr.

REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 4 years of related education/experience, strong interpersonal/communication skills and an ability to work independently. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. EOE.
