Recreational Coordinator

Work Schedule is as follows:

Tuesday thru Friday 12-8pm

Saturday 10-6pm


Direct supervision, protection and care of children, individually and in groups, at all times.

Supervisor for the planning and coordinating of recreational activities

Assist other Resident Counselors with the recreation/social/craft activities

Responsible for keeping all client data confidential

Completes job duties in prompt, accurate, and thorough manner

Maintains job interest and technical skills

Dependable and consistent attendance according to work schedule

Able to arrive at sound conclusion after getting and analyzing all pertinent facts

Responds appropriately under difficult circumstances

Willing and able to work with coworkers, treatment staff and administration

Respond appropriately under difficult or demanding circumstances

Performs additional related tasks as directed

Responds appropriately during emergencies

Knowledge of facility safety response procedures

Maintains an objective, professional relationship with residents and staff at all times

Clean and well groomed appearance

Exercises good judgement by objectively and unemotionally analyzing facts, weighing evidence and reaching sound conclusions

Promptly reports any possible safety and/or sanitation problems to supervisor and/or safety officer

Contributes to the maintenance of a positive work environment

Organizes time to complete duties in time available

Attends all in-service training

Contributes to a positive therapeutic milieu by action and responsible communication with coworkers, supervisors, and administration on any issue of concern relevant to job responsibilities and the agency

Attends all scheduled staff meetings

Wears protective devices properly as required

Maintains certificates (i.e. CPR, Fire and Safety, Drivers License and clean driving record).

At the end of Orientation Training be familiar with all agency handbooks and manuals

Must be sensitive and responsive to cultural differences among the agency's client population.


REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge of Title 22 regulations

Ability to conduct group meetings



Ability to read, write and speak English

Ability to relate to adolescent girls with behavior and emotional problems

Ability to work cooperatively with others

Ability to take direction and complete tasks

Be neat, clean and well groomed

Ability to provide appropriate role modeling for population served

Ability to speak clearly and distinctly

Ability to provide verbal intervention during crisis

Ability to actively participate in team sports and individual athletic activities
