JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Payment Department Team Leader, the Provider Payment Associate (PPA) will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of childcare provider payments for all contracts administered by the Center for Community & Family Services (CCFS). The PPA will be responsible for a high volume of processing.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all functions of payment processing including the following: Date stamp forms; review for completeness, accuracy and program compliance; verify form is signed by both provider and parent; input payment data.
Ability to process a heavy volume of payments.
Ensure that payments are processed in accordance with the guidelines stipulated by CCFS’s funding sources.
Input payment data into the database within three (3) business days of the payment date.
Return incomplete/inconsistent forms to providers within five (5) business days of receipt, accompa-nied by a rejection notice explaining the reason for rejection.
Generate duplicate payment forms within two (2) business days of the provider’s request.
Assist with preparation of monthly reports as requested.
Research payment discrepancies.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service.
Maintain filing in a timely manner.
General office administrative duties (i.e., faxing, copying, typing, etc.)
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader and/or Director.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to pass computer assessment with a minimum score of 70%.Associate’s degree. Efficiency and accuracy performing basic arithmetic and computing rates, ratios, and percent conversions is re-quired. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable clerk and be comfortable with 10-key by touch, MS Excel, and MS Word.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Qualified candidates must have the ability to learn new concepts and skills in a supervised and unsuper-vised environment. Strong organizational skills needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Good customer service skills are critical. The ability to research internal & external inquiries with minimal direction is needed. Previous experience analyzing and understanding routine reports and correspondence preferred. Sensitivity and ability to work well with diverse ethnic, socio-economic, reli-gious and cultural groups. Supportive and helpful attitude in working with people. Ability to multitask and balance work flow. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters. Strong data entry skills. Detail oriented. Ability to work variable days and hours. Must possess the ability to read and com-prehend instructions, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish desirable, but not required.
