Program Director
Supportive Work, Education and Transition Program

This program is a transitional living apartment program, focused on providing the adolescent males in our care, (age 16 and older), with a mix of personal, educational, vocational, health, social and community supports and interventions, to prepare them for independent living and to promote their successful transition to a less structured independent living program.
The Program Director is responsible for the coordination, oversight, implementation, and operation of the program. The Program Director manages the daily operations of the program and interfaces with community agencies including but not limited to DCF, schools, after-school programs, legal representatives, cultural agencies, religious and spiritual organizations as well as with families in coordinating the service plan for the youth. The Program Director is responsible for all the hiring in the program, and will ensure that there is adequate staffing in the program at all times, including participation in the on-call system that will ensure 24/7 supervisory availability. The Program Director will conduct regular individual and group supervision of all staff and maintain all quality assurance components of the program.
This position is a “traditional” first shift, with some extended days to allow for staff supervision, and other duties, and occasional weekend hours.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills required include excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and a demonstrated team approach to treatment planning.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years experience working with at-risk youth, as well as solid experience in administrative management and staff supervision.
