Program Coordinator

The City of Glen Cove’s Youth Bureau in a collaboration is beginning it’s third year of a four and one half years grant for after-school and summer programs for students and their families in the City of Glen Cove. The Partners in this project envision a full-timecomprehensive after school and summer program with Academic Support and Development, Arts Programs, College and Career Prep Academies, Soccer Programs, Recreation, Technology Workshops, Bilingual Classes, Youth Development and Family Workshops.We seek a full time year-round Project Coordinator to manage the 21st Century program.
Duties
1.Planning of the program in collaboration with the Partners; with strong emphasis on curriculum development in conjunction with the school faculty and staff.
2.Daily management and administration of the program including regular visits to all centers; coordinate the staff of the partners that provide services in the project; develop and implement all required training and staff development; work collaboratively with the School District to ensure professional development for faculty and staff; attend and participate in all required NYSED training.3.Recruit students and families; and meet and maintain enrollment and attendance targets.
4.Ensure that all data is maintained and reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion; ensuring all reports are completed and disseminated; work collaboratively with the Evaluator and with the Glen Cove School District to provide necessary data for progress monitoring and for periodic required evaluation reports.
5.In collaboration with the Glen Cove School District staff, plan and implement the family involvement and family support of students in Glen Cove Middle and High Schools; and ensure that youth and families are involved in all aspects of the program.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Bachelors’ Degree required, Master Degree preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Demonstrates experience in program administration and working with staff and youth in after school programs; knowledge of curriculum development and positive youth development.
