Supervises: Treatment Coordinators and TherapistsESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assures clinical oversight of the program in adherence to the program’s mission, philosophy and goals.Takes responsibility to ensure the development of a treatment plan based on a comprehensive assessment for each child admitted to the program and demonstrates accountability by signing off on each plan.Supervises on-going treatment planning and implementation for each child, evaluating all progress reports and treatment plan updates and indicating approval by sign-off on each plan.Oversees and supports the treatment coordinator as leader of the treatment team.Provides coordination and back up to assure the 24 hour on call crisis intervention services are available and delivered as needed to treatment parents, children, and families.Provides supervision/consultation to salaried employee therapists twice per month.Assesses staff development and training needs, and develops staff development plans to continuously improve staff performance, both program-wide and per individual needs as needed.Participates in clinical supervision meetings, in-service training and other staff meetings as designated.Demonstrates working knowledge of all Namaste Policies and Procedures and “outside” regulatory agency standards governing program/administrative operation, and has oversight responsibility for meeting those standards.Maintains all required documentation in an organized and timely manner.Has working knowledge of employment practices including equal opportunity employment, recruitment, hiring protocol, disciplinary and termination procedures.Continues to educate self on holistic, therapeutic treatment and intervention of the unattached and severely emotionally disturbed child.All other duties as assigned by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:Education – Masters Degree in related field, required.
License – Licensed or license eligible in NM as a psychiatrist, psychologist, Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric Nursing or a Registered Nurse (RN) with a masters in Psychiatric Nursing, Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC), or a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT). Meets any applicable continuing education requirements. Must maintain a current NM driver’s license.Experience – Minimum of one-year experience in the child placement process and two years in clinical practice with children, adolescents and families.Skills & Knowledge – Knowledge of the Attachment Model and TFC operations. Must be able to provide supervision to TFC staff and leadership to all non-clinical staff and Treatment Foster Parents. Must be able to conduct routine chart audits.Competencies – Is detailed oriented with excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to professional growth and development. Ability to maintain professionalism under all circumstances, including the ability to remove oneself from a situation when objectivity is lost. Follows Namaste Policy and Procedure.
