New York Blood Center is a non-for-profit healthcare organization that provides
blood products and services to area hospitals and patients. NYBC’s program activities generate in excess of $300 million annually and employ over 1,300 staff in and around New York City. As the nation's largest community-based, non-profit, independent blood center, we work hard each and every day to meet our vital, life-saving community mission. We accomplish this through the generosity of nearly 2,000 volunteers each day but also through the diligence of dedicated staff in regional, centralized and specialized departments and operations. New York Blood Center's "National Cord Blood Program" is the oldest and largest public cord blood bank. We collect, process, test and store cord blood that is donated to us for anyone who might need it. Setting New York Blood Center apart from any other blood center in the world is the Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute (LFKRI), a world-renown institution that has pioneered basic and applied research efforts that have paved the way for blood disease prevention, treatments, cures and therapies. We have a challenging full time opportunity in the Inventory Management department of our Core Operations Division.
REQUIREMENTS
Operations Data Manager
This position requires knowledge of all databases as well as the ability to write and understand business information needs using SQL queries and VBA. This position will interact with all levels of the organization to educate in the utilization of reports and other solutions through our internal and external database systems.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. with concentration in Science, Engineering or Accounting. Significant experience with Microsoft Excel and SQL required. Strong quantitative and analytical skills required. The candidate must be able to work independently on various assignments as well as collaboratively with project members.
