MHS’ mission is to improve the lives of those they serve. Mental Health Systems, Inc. (MHS) is one of the largest non-profit, community-based service organization in California, overseeing more than 100 programs in Southern and Central California, and in Maryland.
The Assertive Community Treatment Program provides intensive and all-inclusive case management and outpatient/rehabilitation services to homeless mentally ill individuals, and incorporates a supported housing component. We are currently interviewing for both management and direct service clinical positions.
REQUIREMENTS
The Team Leader serves in both a direct service and administrative capacity, delivering client care 75% of the time, with the remainder spent assisting the Program Manager with operational and supervisory responsibilities. The bulk of program services are provided in the community. The Team Leader acts as a member of a multidisciplinary team and directly provides services to clients. In addition, he or she assists the Program Manager in establishing, administering and directing the ACT program. The Team Leader demonstrates a strong working knowledge of best practices in Assertive Community Treatment, case management, bio-psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery, and integrated services for co-occurring disorders. Requirements include a minimum of a Master of Arts or a Master of Sciences degree in a social services field, plus a license or license eligibility in the State of California. At least two-five years of experience working with mentally ill and dually diagnosed populations in a similar capacity required with at least two years of supervisory experience.
Salary Range for the Team Lead is $40,000-$50,000 based on experience. The Clinical Case Managers or Counselors are mental health professional who serves in a coordinating role within the treatment team. He or she provides assessments, creates and revises treatment plans, develops and coordinates care among the disciplines, and provides treatment and rehabilitation services to clients. The clinicians facilitate treatment team meetings when directed to do so by Team Leader. The bulk of services are provided in the community. Decisions relating to clients are made in conjunction with clinical and administrative program staff. The is an understanding of the practices in Assertive Community Treatment, psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery, and principles of integrated services for co-occurring disorders Requirements include a minimum of a Master of Arts or a Master of Sciences degree in a social services field, plus eligibility for licensure in the State of California helpful. At least two years of experience working with mentally ill and dually diagnosed populations in a similar capacity, preferably case management and knowledge of community resources that will be utilized by clients. Early evening and weekend hours may be required.Salary Range for direct service clinical positions range from $34,000-$40,000. Bilingual in Spanish applicants highly encouraged to apply.
