is a not-for-profit rehabilitation agency supporting more than 1,500 children and adults with disabilities with vocational, residential, educational, therapeutic, social and recreational programs throughout the State of Connecticut.Title: Manager of Disability Program
Salary: $ 33,235Responsibilities: Implement and supervise a comprehensive vocational, educational, community experience satellite program for persons with challenging disabilities and behaviors and/or persons interested in non-work community involvement.
Act as Case Manager to assigned caseload & other consumers as necessary.This may include, but is not limited to providing physical & crisis interventions, individual & group counseling, teaching, & advocacy.
Supervise all staff assigned to the program site including aides, volunteers, students and/or DMR auxiliary staff.
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (flexibility required)

Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or related field, Masters preferred.
Two years experience working with persons with moderate to severe/profound mental retardation and challenging behaviors preferred.Contact info: Human Resources
