Manager, Residential Group Homes

Position is responsible for assuring a supportive and safe environment with respect to adults with developmental disabilities and their interests and rights in six community homes and one apartment building. Duties include training of all staff, both full-time and part-time, in areas of house management, residential services and other support resources. Assure compliance to outcome based program and DHS standards and oversee compliance to Health, Sanitation and Safety procedures. Oversee compliance with DPH, DHS, HUD and SSA standards and regulations. Processing of Participants’ leases as assigned. Assist Participants in gaining access to the community on a regular basis in the least restrictive manner. Process requests for work orders and needed supplies in a timely manner. Assist with crisis management and intervention as necessary. Communicate effectively with Participants and their responsible parties. Serve as active member of Lambs Farm’s Interdisciplinary Support Team and other Committees at Lambs.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in the human services field or High school diploma or GED and three years or more related experience of which one or more years must have been supervisory and direct service with persons with developmental disabilities. Driver’s license with good driving record. Must be physically able to assist Participant’s with completing daily living skills. Good verbal and written communication skills plus computer literate. Certified or obtain certification in the DHS mandated training within 120 days of employment. Demonstrate competency and receive agency authorization to supervise residents’ self-medication programs within 60 days of employment. Provide proof of automobile insurance.
