MR Residental Director
Don Guanella Village provides services to children and adults with Developmental Disabilities and Mental health needs as well as family supports and advocacy. Services include residential, day habilitation, therapeutic recreation such as art & music therapy, vocational assessment and training, and school and education services for children and young adults.

Function:
To function as as a director with scheduling staff, hiring, facilitation of consumer services & requests on behalf of the clients for needed services and interventions.
Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee the operation of residential living to ensure that the structure, process and outcomes promotes safety and quality care.
Ensure adherence to all Federal, State, County, and Department Rules and Regulations governing ICF programs.
Assist in the employment and/or termination of staff and monitor the implementation of all in-service training and professional staff development programs.
Coordinate the scheduling of supervisors and direct care staff.
Share on-call support as assigned with the administrative time.
Conduct investigation. If not already a certified investigator, attend training and pass exam within 6 months of hire.
Revise and develop manuals with administrative team governing all phases of residential living.
Monitor budget to ensure that all programs operate within their assigned limits. This includes daily review of employee attendance, review of overtime and use of temp. agencies, and monthly budget printouts for appropriate expenditures.
Establish credible public relations with governing agencies, community, and neighbors.
Ensure that residential properties and grounds meet standards of cleanliness and safety. Ensure that each program is operated in a safe, secure, and lawful manner.
Facilitate active communication and involvement with families pertaining to consumer's desires and needs.
Identify and promote the needs of the consumers above all other needs or agendas.
Perform other related responsibilities and duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
BA in human services related field. 5 years of experience in MR residential facility, ICF preferred. 3 years of supervisory experience.
