Group Home Manager

The Mission of The Arc of Monmouth is to improve the lives of persons with mental retardation and their families. This is accomplished through advocacy, services, and supports, cooperation with community partners and community education. The Arc of Monmouth also works to prevent the causes and effects of mental retardation.

The Group Home Manager:

*Provides the overall management of the group home and the daily activities of residents.

*Interviews, orients and evaluates direct care staff

*Teaches skills and guides the every day personal and social development of each individual resident within the least restrictive environment and initiates and encourages recreational and social activities.

In addition, the group home manager is responsible for the overall security of the home and residents, maintaining current records on individuals in the program, medical needs, and household budgets.

REQUIREMENTS
The Group Home Manager requires the following:

*BA degree in Human Services field preferred.

*Experience in Residential Services for people with developmental disabilities.

*Knowledge in counseling and behavior modification, and skills in household management.

*Valid NJ Driver's License

*Driving record acceptable to the insuring company of The Association.
