FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER

Family Support Worker

Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) has an immediate opening for a full-time bi-lingual Family Support Worker in the Des Moines area. Must be fluent in English and Spanish with excellent written and oral skills.

This position is responsible for providing family support to optimize the home environment for children/parents through education, support and advocacy. Will meet with families by traveling in car to homes and community settings; this occurs during normal business hours, evenings, or on week-ends.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in health or human service related field with a minimum of two years of related experience. Required: high school diploma or equivalent with early childhood background. Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance to meet agency requirements.
