DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS

Hawaii’s largest & oldest human service organization serving children & families on all 6 islands seeks an experienced fundraising & communications manager to provide leadership for the organization’s development & communications activities.

The Director will partner with the CEO & the organization’s Board of Directors to plan, manage & implement a comprehensive fund development & communications program. Successful candidate should possess working knowledge of fundraising & marketing, including cultivation of new & existing donors, annual/major gifts, special events, media relations & community affairs. Knowledge of & experience with planned giving approaches is highly desirable. Good knowledge of community & its diverse cultures with a solid network of relationships also desirable. Excellent written & verbal communication skills including public speaking. Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills are essential. Experience establishing & achieving measurable fundraising targets. Position reports directly to the President & CEO.

Bachelor’s degree & 4-6 years of development experience. Minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience.
