Director of Child Welfare

The Director of Child Welfare Services directs, communicates, monitors, and supervises the administrative and clinical processes of all Child Welfare programs. The Director of Child Welfare establishes program initiatives and works closely with all child welfare staff in various programs. The Director is responsible to oversee programs and budgets as assigned. He/She carries out these functions by directing, training and supporting the staff of the assigned programs. The Director is responsible to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with agency personnel, funding source representative and ancillary providers. The Director is also responsible for monitoring the budget for programs in the division.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Minimum Requirement - Master's Degree in Social Work or related field. Licensure required. Experience: Five years experience in child welfare/social service organizations. At least 3 years of supervisory experience. Excellent working knowledge of clinical issues relating to children, adolescents or families. Excellent working knowledge of administrative and clinical issues relating to children, adolescents and families. Preparing, monitoring and overseeing budgets. Writing grants.
