Direct Support Coordinator for group home in Oakdale, CT
Directs and coordinates the operations of the residential group homes and/or day services program. Ensures that programs are operated in compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and within the assigned budget. Monitors personnel management, program plan implementation, coordination of appointments and activities for individuals served, facility maintenance and management of individual financial accounts.Essential job functions:- Monitor and coordinate the implementation of each individuals program plan-Schedule and supervise staff to effectively operate the assigned program-Demonstrate and train staff to interact with individuals in an emotionally supportive and therapeutic manner.-Coordinate appointments and activities of individuals-Manage the maintenance of medical, social and programmatic files-Provide staff members with guidance and assistance during emergencies and on an on-call basis.-Maintain petty cash funds and individual financial accounts, as well as the purchasing of groceries and supplies-Review the maintenance and upkeep of the residential facility and vehicles-Prepare reports and other correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a minimum of four years experience in a related field, with one year in a supervisory or management capacity. Experience may be substituted for degree.Ability to obtain and maintain a valid CT driver's license and Public Service license.
Ability to obtain and maintain State of CT Medication Certification.
