CASE MANAGERS – BILINGUAL SPANISH

The Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center for the Developmentally Disabled, inc. is a private, non-profit organization that provides services for persons with developmental disabilities.

We are on the lookout for compassionate, committed, bi-lingual Spanish-speaking people who would like to aid persons with developmentally disabilities in the community by providing information, referral and general counseling services. With consultation from your supervisor and/or your fellow co-workers, you will determine and implement appropriate case plans and obtain consumer services through referral to local resources or through the purchase of needed services and programs. You will also act as an advocate for your clients and their families and you will also represent the Agency at community meetings and gatherings as well as spearheading many related efforts. These are only a few duties of this very rewarding position.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications

Besides the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and English, we ask that you either have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Welfare, Psychology or a related field, plus at least one-year experience working with persons with developmental special needs. Computer skills (Windows, word processing, etc.) are also required, as is an automobile, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
