Assistant Program Manager
Participates in the development, implementation, and documentation of Individual Habilitation Plans (I.H.P.'s)and daily program activities for the purposes of fostering program participants' highest degree of independence and interdependence.
Trains and provides support and assistance to program participants in program or in the community in the areas of Activities of Daily Living (self-help, grooming, housekeeping)skills, decision making, developing relationships and other identified needs as described in the I.H.P.s.
Assumes staff supervision and program operation duties in the absence of the Program Manager.
Assists the Program Manager in maintaining current files on each consumer. Assists in the development of appropriate behavioral, program, training, and transitional plans for each consumer.
Assists consumers in identifying and resolving personal, social and other problems. Assists in monitoring the supply of any necessary materials and notifies the program manager when supplies are needed. Provides reports to their supervisor regarding the consumers and/or program, and maintains accurate and timely records/schedules as instructed.
Becomes familiar with, through on going training, management techniques. Becomes familiar with agency D.D.D. policies regarding behavior.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the above but other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and or experience:
Two years of college or two years related experience. Experience working with developmental disables in a group home setting, a must.

Maintains all program areas as clean, organized, and productive environments that are maintained according to D.D.D. and ARC/Essex standards.
Insures protection of program participants from injury, accident, harm or unnecessary discomfort or illness.
Documents and reports all unusual incidents as delineated by the ARC/Essex event management reporting procedure.
Establishes and maintains productive professional relationships with program participants, family members, other providers, guardians, physicians, case managers,sponsors, vendors, contractors, community contacts, program staff, and other interested persons.
Obtains any needed medical, dental, psychological or pharmaceutical services for the consumers.
Must have a NJ Valid Driver License.
