Assistant Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility

Canon, USA is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Communications Department. In this high profile position, you will be responsible for identifying and managing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities that promote the company's goodwill with the general public through existing and prospective nonprofit partner organizations in the fields of environmental conservation, youth programs and community programs. You will analyze, develop strategies, and make recommendations as to what CSR programs/events are appropriate for Canon. You will work closely with our Public Relations department to ensure proper press exposure for all events. Internationally, you will interact with other Canon America locations such as Canon Canada, Canon Latin America, and Canon Mexico regarding their activities/events. You will be responsible for supporting the Manager with budget tracking and updating contracts. Additionally, you will oversee the ordering of products and promotional items, plan and coordinate meetings with participating staff and partners, and support Manager with CSR committee issues.
REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate must have a Bachelors degree with at least five years experience in a similar position. You must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills, as well as excellent time management skills. Must be able to work well independently and under pressure. Prior experience working with budgets and planning is required. You must be creative with excellent communications skills. May occasionally be required to work outside normal business hours.
