Assistant Group Home Manager

Hattie Larlham is seeking an Assistant Group Home Manager for our Group Homes in Oakwood Village and Solon. This is a FT 2nd shift position. Must carry a pager every 4th week.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Group Home Manager with the operations of the Home. Supervises in the absence of other management staff.


MAJOR TASKS AND DUTIES:
1.Provides basic supervision, training and staff development to the direct care staff in assigned home.
2.Provides direct care coverage to Home on all shifts as needed.
3.Works in conjunction with the Group Home Manager in developing the direct care staff as a functioning team dedicated to the comfort, job and achievement of each individual they serve.
4.Assists in pager coverage for the Home on a rotating basis.
5.Assists in coordinating all resident services; assists in direct care of residents as need arises; participates in recreation and social activities with residents; assists in the transport of residents to medical appointments; develops a good working relationship and flow of communication with all parents, legal guardians, advocates of residents and other Foundation departments.
6.Assists Group Home Manager in developing and supervising the implementation of resident habilitation programs, including data collection suggested through the interdisciplinary team.
7.Provides input and reports to the Group Home Manager.
8.Responsible for participating in maintaining a safe workplace and attending annual mandatory safety trainings.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/TRAINING: A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and a valid State of Ohio driver’s license are required.
