The Web Production Specialist is responsible for day-to-day publishing responsibilities for McKesson.com and McKNet. This role would provide web editorial and production skills that will support the publishing needs of the core corporate group as well as the business units, expertise with the Vignette CMS to help support its users, and collaborative skills that will facilitate the Corporate Communications Team?s relationship with the business units. Among the web production specialist?s day-to-day responsibilities are:1.Editorial: proofing and publishing items in the CMS
2.Production: building publishing items and pages for core corporate and understaffed BUs
3.Graphics: creating, editing, optimizing graphics for publication
4.Technical QA: fixing problems with content, coding, and formatting for new items
5.User Support: answering questions from content contributors about working with the CMS; maintaining training documents
6.Account management: administering the LDAP accounts of users of the CMS, tracking their roles and keeping accounts up to date
7.Team Site Administration: building and administering team a SharePoint site for McKNet and McKesson.com to store team documentsMinimum Requirements
2+ years experience producing interactive content for a high-traffic corporate website, or equivalent agency experience
Experience using content management systems to publish content to the Web (Vignette 7.0 preferred)
Solid understanding of how to create successful online user experiences and how to support usability with Web content following industry best practices
Excellent technical troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytic skills
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to
explain technical information to non-technical users
prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced, deadline-driven, dynamic and demanding environment
assess client needs and create solutions to meet goals
track interdependencies, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful project implementation/deployment

Understanding and familiarity with the following technologies and applications:
Detailed knowledge and hands-on experience with HTML (familiarity with web publishing technoligies including ASP, XML, CSS a plus)
User level experience with content management systems, Vignette (Epicentric) portal and CMS 7 software a plus
Familarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash a plus
Practicing knowledge of email and FTP
Heavy, proficient Internet user
Working experience with Windows-based personal computers
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Internet Explorer (SharePoint Portal Server team site administration a plus)Additional Knowledge & Skills
