Generating new ideas for the website and digital products while maintaining editorial standards of excellence set in place
Overseeing the editorial contributions from contract contributors
Ensuring content is fresh, compelling and posted to the site daily
Copyediting or proofreading original website content
Work closely with the BackStage.com Brand Manager and Senior Web Editor on site or additional digital product developments
Works with Information Marketing (print and digital circulation team) to create relationships with regional casting entities
Respond to customer inquiries regarding website editorial
Proactively promotes BackStage.com as a brand to regional actors and casting directors through email, phone or face-to-face contact in coordination with Senior Web Editor, assistant web editors and casting freelancersQualifications
Two years mininum editorial experience
Working knowledge of internet products/services
Some professional copy editing or proofreading experience
Background in and/or knowledge of theater industry
Experience with MS office, basic HTML, PhotoShop and QuarkTeam orientation & Results driven is important.
