Team Sites Editor

The Team Sites Editor serves as the primary liaison between team internet contacts and the League. They work closely with team representatives to create, produce and publish content and features on multiple team sites. Major Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintaining a high standard across multiple team sites, including editorial, technology, and business priorities such as ticket sales support, sponsored content and other business initiatives.• Help monitor guidelines and provide direction for team site operations.• Coordinate league wide initiatives across team sites.• Utilize publishing tools to update team content including news, features, photos, video, and audio and ensure that team sites are interesting, accurate and user-friendly.• Create short-term and long-term programming plans designed to bring team experiences closer to fans through new and innovative content.• Work with the department head to serve as a sounding board and industry expert for team contacts on development plans and new technology initiatives from the teams.• Some writing and event coverage (Finals, All-Star Weekend, Draft) may also be required.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills/Knowledge: • Internet and computer-savvy; familiar with key sites and functionalities.• Experience with web content/publishing tools including HTML coding.• Good multi-tasking and project management skills.• Strong writing skills with editorial experience.• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.• Knowledge of and passion for basketball. Experience Needed: • Minimum of 3 years Internet publishing experience, editing and writing background in media (Internet, newspaper or magazine) preferred.• Must have experience managing multiple vendors or accounts
