Strategic Sourcing Manager

Will be required to assist in the implementation of purchasing strategies and procurement policies designed to standardize and/or centralize firm-wide purchasing activity. These strategies should reduce the cost of goods and services, reduce supplier base, increase internal controls, and improve the overall effectiveness of the function. We are looking for a team-oriented leader capable of influencing others in cross-functional projects. Candidate should also possess the capability to effectively deal with all levels of employees. This position is required to spearhead sourcing initiatives by providing hands on project management capabilities and sourcing expertise. Purview to include but not limited to goods and services sourced in partnership with Administrative Services division. Categories may include furniture, security services, food services, construction, HVAC, copiers/faxes, general trade work, MRO items, mailroom, etc. The candidate must possess the highest level of honesty and personal integrity. Primary Responsibilities: ? Implementing strategic sourcing protocol ? Developing and implementing proper procurement procedures ? Leading sourcing projects ? Developing team approach with Administrative Services associates ? Collaborating with Administrative Services management on direction and strategy ? Working with senior Procurement management to develop strategies to optimize the corporation’s purchasing activities ? Assisting in providing ethical oversight over vendor relations, including pricing and contract negotiations
REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field ? 5 years plus of procurement experience ? Knowledge of, and some experience in strategic sourcing concepts ? Experience with eProcurement tools ? Proven track record of accomplishments ? Well developed oral and written communication skills ? Demonstrated ability in leadership, coaching and team building
