Senior Manager, Corporate Media Relations

Seeking a high energy Communications professional who is a self-starter to join world-class media relations team.

Responsibilities:
* Execute proactive media placements to promote the brand McDonald's
* Develop strategies and messages that conenct with consumers and the media.
* Create and sustain media relationships with media.
* Write and edit press releases, media statements and other relevant communications materials.
* Identify and media train appropriate company spokespeople for interviews.
* Field inquiries from major U.S. and International media, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Associated Press, Reuters, CNN and BBC.
* Coordinate on-site broadcast requests and facilitate visits, including filming interviews.
* Team up with Area of the World Communications partners to proactively tell the McDonald's story and manage issues.
* Counsel & collaborate with company management & other departments such as Marketing, Investor Relations, Social Responsibility, Legal, Supply Chain, Health Services, Government Relations, Security etc. on business decisions.
* Engage in management of media issues, including support of the 24-hour field assistance MAP Line.
