Sales Team Leader

The Charlotte Observer, a McClatchy newspaper, is seeking an ambitious, experienced sales executive to oversee the daily activities of the inside transient employment sales staff as a Team Leader. This position requires flexibility and the ability to multi-task effectively, as you will manage day-to-day selling activities of the classified staff and guide departmental revenue growth. The incumbent is also responsible for account development and growth, as well as frequent interaction with advertisers and outside vendors. The Team Leader will serve as an expert and training go-to for use of CRM and lead generation systems, Careerbuilder products, and Careerbuilder Weekly.
REQUIREMENTS
The Team Leader must be committed to maximizing annual sales and profits, developing and coaching salespeople, and coordinating monthly performance goals for the transient sales staff. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Marketing, Business, Advertising or Communications, with 3+ years in sales and 1+ year’s supervisory experience in a media environment. We are searching for a highly motivated, organized leader who is goal-oriented and possesses the demonstrated ability to positively and effectively promote The Observer’s products.
