State Director

As the leader of the state team, you will create a successful strategic business unit that enables the Association to achieve goals/ objectives; act as a catalyst to bring together groups to advance the priorities of AARP and its membership; oversee budgets, staffing, and operations; develop a comprehensive and effective state plan that reflects national initiatives, organizational goals, and local priorities; establish/maintain effective statewide networks with policymakers and members of the corporate/academic communities; and oversee communication and media relations.

Requires: A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, at least 8+ years of directly related experience, strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
