SENIOR RESEARCHER

Title: Senior Researcher
Reports to: Director of Research

IEG — a subsidiary of WPP’s Group M and the driving force in the sponsorship industry — has an opening for a Senior Researcher in its Chicago-based headquarters.

Job Summary
The Senior Researcher will be responsible for delivering research reports to IEG’s internal and external clients and managing research and analysis activities to ensure the highest quality deliverables. Specific responsibilities include evaluating client objectives; developing and implementing research strategies; conducting both primary and secondary research and managing research projects and teams.

Responsibilities
•Identify research needs of clients and determine the most effective and efficient way to meet those needs.
•Set objectives for intelligence gathering and create a feasible schedule for the collection and analysis of data
•Conduct research on consumer business topics and issues and translate raw data into actionable intelligence
•Collect, evaluate and analyze accurate and reliable information
•Analyze results, provide recommended actions and assess implications of intelligence findings
•Prepare, present and disseminate competitive intelligence to IEG’s internal and external clients
•Effectively communicate to management and clients via presentations, reports and proposals

REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Qualifications
•3+ years of experience in strategy, competitive intelligence and marketing research
•Demonstrated noteworthy critical thinking and analytic skills
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills
•Deadline-oriented
•Exceptional multi-tasking ability, time management skills and attention to detail
•Strong project management, organizational, proofreading and data entry skills
•Strong database skills
•Sponsorship industry experience a plus
