Research Analyst

Responsibilities
•In tandem with research management, utilize syndicated and custom research sources to support competitive ad sales and marketing strategies.
•Stay current on syndicated research trends.
•Analyze and position USA WEEKEND’S custom/primary research.
•Work in tandem with marketing to develop research data to support competitive leadership positioning for promotional efforts such as presentations, promotional mailings and sell sheets across multiple advertising categories.
•Provide competitive PIB reports to management
•Develop action-oriented research analyses for the RFP process.
•When appropriate assist ad sales in presenting research at client/ad agency meetings.
•Assist with the analyzing and reporting of custom/primary research to support the maintenance and growth of USA WEEKEND circulation.
•Assist with providing the editorial team with research data about reader preferences based on internal custom research findings.
REQUIREMENTS
One year of media research experience either at a publication or at an ad agency. A college degree and working knowledge of the following research sources: MRI, PIB, New Age or IMS and ABC circulation data. Attention to detail is required along with an inquisitive/analytical ability to substantiate competitive positioning within the consumer magazine industry.
