Promotion Coordinator

Function
Promotion Coordinator is responsible for assisting Promotion Manager and ascertaining that all assigned duties within the department such as remotes, special events, contest, and various other promotions are carried out in a quality, professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
·Create, organize and direct the execution of all station promotions
·Meet weekly with Promotion/Special Events Manager, Program Directors and Sales Managers to create promotions for Programming and Sales departments
·Organize details of promotions and communicate to staff
·Create promotional file for each station promotion to include promotion proposal with appropriate approval signatures, promotional copy, winner forms and official rules as applicable
·Create weekly promotion agenda with assistance of Promotions/Special Events Manager, Program Directors and Sales Manager
·Supervise coordination of contesting between Programming/Promotions/Risk Management Departments
·Oversee documentation process of all on air contesting, including creating winner forms, distributing forms to promo suite, making prizes available for winners in an efficient manner for front desk pick up, mailing, etc.
·Maintain winner files and keep records in the specific promotional files
·Assist Risk Management in writing official rules and distribute to program directors, on air talent, reception, and sales management.
·Maintain records of performance for all promos and liners, and keep records in the specific promotional file
·Assist with planning and execution of marketing creative
·Attend planning meetings to determine budgets, media, creative concepts, flights, etc.
·Assist in development of artwork for outdoor, television, direct mail, vehicle design, posters and flyers as required
·Complete reports in a timely manner as required
·Prepare specific event recaps and documentation as required
·Assist in maintenance of promotional vehicles
·Assist Special Events/Promotional Manager in maintaining budget. Plan and schedule all promotional expenses to maintain budget
·Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration
·Good Driving Record
·Effective communication skills
·Detail orientated
Education and Experience Requirements
·Minimum two years of marketing communications or promotion experience required
·Experience in radio preferred
·Experience and/or knowledge of radio sales. Experience with and knowledge of remote broadcast equipment set up, break down and technical operation helpful
·Understanding of radio formats (English and Spanish preferred) along with knowledge of listener’s life styles
Necessary Language Skills
·Read, write and speak English and Spanish (preferred)
·Read maps

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
