Deep Focus is a rapidly growing full-service online marketing agency with high-profile clients in the film, music, lifestyle and gaming industries. We're a top 50 interactive agency with an emphasis in media, publicity, grassroots, website and creative development services. We have an energetic, enthusiastic and creative team. We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated online media planner to join our New York office. Someone who can juggle multiple campaigns as well as help develop the various evolving services within the online marketing space.

Online Media Planner

Key Responsibilities include:
•Use planning resources to research websites and ideas.
•Evaluate and negotiate media proposals for potential advertising contracts by examining demographics, traffic, costs and placements.
•Develop and present media plan recommendations.
•Provide weekly reporting on all campaigns.
•Optimize campaigns on the fly.
•Write and issue results analysis.
•Be able to work within both small and large budgets.
•Negotiate and resolve media discrepancies with websites.
•Evaluate new developments and recommend strategies to achieve client and agency goals.
•Compare invoices to media authorizations and insertion orders and process for payment.
•Work with the media team to ensure consistency across multiple accounts as well as share key learnings with other members of the team.
•Manage shared Media Coordinator.

Qualifications –
•Bachelor’s (B.A./B.S.) degree required.
•Two years’ in media-related advertising experience, with at least one year of online.
•Strong interpersonal communication and ability to work as part of a small, ever-growing team.
•First hand experience with syndicated research and planning tools (e.g. Nielsen Net//Ratings, @plan).
•Computer proficiency specifically with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
•Familiarity with paid search and display advertising.
•Strong negotiation, tracking and optimization skills.
•Prior experience with third party ad servers and rich media technologies (e.g. PointRoll, Eyeblaster, Klipmart, etc).
