Online Content Product Manager- NYC

In this position you will control the online communities & all associated products. Authority over day to day activity, pricing, marketing and strategic direction.Here are just a few of the responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of the community offering and the relationship with customer content contributors and registered users
Process / Policy Innovation for all aspects of the online community
Developing and assuming ownership of the product roadmap for Online Communities in line with overall site strategy
Planning, product creation, product structure, product rollout, overseeing product provisioning and pricing where applicable
Business Development/ Cost Management/ Budget process
Assist in M&A activity related to product area if required
Assist in viral marketing & promotional campaigns to ensure the continued growth & success of the online community
Conducting competitive analysis and maintaining detailed and up-to-date analysis of the competitive landscape
Defining, tracking and improving key product metrics
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience
3+ years proven online product management experience with an excellent track record of developing, launching, and marketing online products
Tertiary Qualification ( or equivalent ) is required, an MBA preferred
Experience with the full product launch cycle from conception and design, through to launch and ongoing product management
Strong background in user-driven web-based tools ( message boards, blogs etc )
Familiarity with the latest industry developments regarding online communities and associated technology
A strong interest and proven activity in blogging and publishing content on the web is highly desirable
Experience in user interface development and functional specification development in Visio is desirable
High level skills in all Microsoft office programs
Extensive experience managing online communities and recruiting moderators and active customer content contributors.
Developed online editorial policies to attract stimulating content and avoid litigation.
Developed benchmarking metrics and processes to prioritise work and manage online communities effectively and efficiently.
