New Media Account Executive

Purpose:
Tribune Media Services (TMS), a division of Tribune Company is currently looking for a New Media Account Executive to join our team and sell into the Latin American market. The International New Media Account Executive will develop and maintain effective relationships with technology companies, website operators, cable operators, equipment manufacturers, and software developers who may license TMS products for distribution to consumers and present, negotiate and sell TMS products and services to them. They will maintain and grow a current base of revenue from an assigned territory via telephone and in-person meetings in the Latin American market.

Responsibilities for this position include achieving revenue and profit goals in assigned territory, closing sales by prospecting and developing relationships, analyzing needs and opportunities, negotiating contract terms, documenting activity and thoroughly following up on issues pertaining to the sale and delivery of services to customers. This individual will be negotiating contract extensions with current clients, will protect against cancellation, and will be responsible to retain and grow current revenue through regular communication with customers. In addition, they will be required to maintain an effective working knowledge of industry trends in relevant markets and industries that could lead to new business opportunities and/or impact current products and remain up-to-date on competitive activities.

The requirements for this position include a proven track record of sales achievement, and/or extensive experience in the television listings industry with excellent time management and organizational skills. The ideal candidate should speak fluent Spanish and have strong presentation and telephone sales skills along with a high level of energy, enthusiasm, initiative and drive. Strong Spanish verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and a technical aptitude and knowledge of the technology sector and new media industries would make this individual successful in their new role. A four year college degree is preferred or equivalent experience in a position in a related industry. Travel as required.
