Mgr-Commodities Publishing
This position is accountable for the cost effective contracting of complex services to include but not limited to: high risk printed products, materials, distribution, and related equipment and services for the Publishing business. Responsibilities include developing and executing end-to-end sourcing plans, negotiation of complex contractual terms and conditions, development of comprehensive scopes of work, managing contract performance and supporting clients of all major business units across a broad geographic area. Issue Request For Proposals, perform competitive supplier evaluations, and implement the organizational strategic and tactical plans while driving action across functionally that may affect organizational policies, practices, processes and procedures. Accountable for the results of contract negotiations involving complex business objectives. Serves as a vital interface to internal customer and senior management as a recognized source of expertise for all contract activities. Must provide business support for purchasing and financial systems. Responsible for self-development in all facets of contract management, procurement, finance, and business skills, processes, and practices.Job RequirementsDemonstrated strong knowledge and experience in contract management, licensing, procurement, project management, and finance including analysis techniques, activity based costing (ABC) methodologies, and project management. Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy. Exceptional oral/presentation, writing, and pc skills. Exceptional problem solving skills, strong initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.Knowledge is typically obtained through a Business degree, external certification programs or equivalent. Requires business experience in end-to-end sourcing processes, contract development, contract management, contract performance measurements and related functions, typically obtained in 7-10 years. Working knowledge of the Ariba Buyer System as well as the eProcurement process is a plus. No relocation is available; 10% travel is required.
