Medical Director (Medical Communications)

Northern NJ Medical Communications Company is actively seeking both Medical Directors and Associate Medical Directors for a newly created position. Individuals for the Medical Director role will have preferably 3+ years in a Medical Communications agency, with experience managing and mentoring associate directors and other staff. An individual with Cardiovascular expertise is a definite plus for the position.

PhD, Pharm D, and MD's will be considered.
This position is for individuals with Medical communications/Education Agency experience, possibly as an associate director and are looking to advance in there career.

Description:

Medical and technical information source for internal team and client. Provide medical direction for projects and assure that all projects are technically accurate and meet program objectives.
Understanding for assigned products, related medical areas, and competitive products.
Help to identify marketing opportunities and implications.
Ensure that projects are technically accurate, audience appropriate, and in line with product strategy or message.
Clearly communicate with both clients and internal departments.
Medically direct projects for assigned products (e.g., develop outlines and select references for a writing project; select participants and develop content for symposia and advisory boards).

Associate Medical Directors will have a PhD, PharmD, MD and experience in either of the following areas(Antibiotics/AntiInfectives/Antivirals or Asthma/Pediatrician Allergy/Immunology). This person will have either clinical/research and/or fellowship experience and provide technical expertise to the team.

Medical Director- Preferably several years agency experience. An individual with cardiovascular experience is a definite plus for the position.
Scientific understanding of various therapeutic areas.
Associate Medical Director- Fellowship or Clinical experience in either Antibiotics/AntiInfectives/Antivirals or Asthma/Pediatrician Allergy/Immunology, along with a PhD, MD or Pharm D.
