General Summary:
Develop and implement national public relations activities for Program Department. Manage public relations aspects of general PR and Program-specific activities that generate awareness of and concern for Alzheimer’s disease while positioning the Association as a leader.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage multiple prioritiesUse media relations and public relations knowledge and experience, planning abilities and creative skills to develop and implement programs, strategies and timelines; implement programs and strategies on schedule and within budget.
Work closely with other departments, especially the Program team, to monitor new and emerging projects/activities/trends and plan appropriate communications strategies and create media materials.
Build and maintain good working relationships with key media contacts.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations
5-7 years professional experience with public relations consulting firm or organizational communications.Experience planning and executing consumer awareness campaigns
