Manager, Communications and Public Affairs

Our Packaging Resources Group supports this function, creating the materials that package the worlds' consumer products.

Our Packaging Resource Group's Covington Mill has an immediate need for a Communications Manager. This person will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications program for diverse audiences and will serve as a community liaison for the facility.

Key Output/Deliverables:
- Establish and execute comprehensive communications program for diverse audiences
- Utilize multiple communication channels to enhance employees' understanding and engagement in company and business unit's strategy, vision, values and business initiatives
- Work closely with Corporate Communications team and lead business unit communicator(s) to ensure companywide alignment of communications strategy and messaging
- Interact with business and community leaders to present a unified, high-profile representation of MeadWestvaco
- Lead crisis communications and media relations efforts for the facility
REQUIREMENTS


Experience:
- Bachelors in communications or business-related major
- Minimum of five years of experience in the communications field with proven track record of developing and executing internal and external communications programs
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels, including senior leadership, managers and hourly employees
- Demonstrated ability to write, speak and compile tailored communications pieces for a variety of audiences
- Strong leadership, multitasking and project management skills
