Maintenance Technician

• This person is responsible for maintenance, repair and install of RF systems and other studio systems. This person should have a strong background in UHF, VHF TV transmitters (analog/digital) and microwave systems. It would also desirable to have a working knowledge of digital encoding and compression technologies.
• Knowledge of Computer technologies and repair.
• Troubleshoot equipment to board level and component level to affect repairs of digital and analog circuits.
Works with individual pieces of equipment as well as maintaining and adjusting the whole integrated system.
• Must be familiar with FCC technical specifications and with the use of standard TV broadcast test equipment.
• Work hours are irregular and work assignments may be out of doors or at remote locations, as well as within the station.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum three years experience in broadcast maintenance.
•Strong RF background in digital and analog systems.
•Knowledge of Video Servers and Local Area Networks.
• IT certifications would be a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado driver’s license and have excellent driving history.
