Mac Operator/Retoucher

Responsibilities:
·Produce technically sound, color accurate and content correct files using accepted manufacturing practices that meet both client and Vertis specifications, and quality expectations.·Convert, color edit and swatch match images per client requests with a high level understanding of print reproduction SOPs.
·Execute image manipulations in both rgb and cmyk to print specifications as directed.
·Produce jobs as assigned by Lead Operator/Site-Manager, and as dictated by schedule.
·Full comprehension and thorough understanding of job tickets; obtain clarification when necessary through the Production Lead/Site-Manager if instructions are unclear or information is conflicting.
·Execute Quark page builds and alterations according to client direction.·Carefully read documentation, sign-off, and add comments while following the standard operating procedure for a given task.
·Check accuracy of work produced prior to routing to next operator, department and/or client.·Communicate clearly with Production Lead and/or Site-Manager to improve workflows.
REQUIREMENTS
§Minimum of five years experience working in Macintosh based desktop software
§Extensive Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark Express experience
§Understanding of Color Theory, Printing, and Graphics§Excellent communication and organizational skills
