KRCD - KRCV Traffic and News Reporter – Part Time - Los Angeles

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·Regular and timely attendance.
·Maintain format of station.
·Looks and acts professional.
·Traffic & News reporting in drive times.
·Redefine traffic reporting for the Los Angeles Spanish Radio Market.
·Collect traffic information.
·Translate in Spanish and report traffic accidents and other related problems in the Los Angeles/Orange County Freeways.
·Inform the latest information on police pursuits on the spot.
·Maintain studio equipment.
·Maintain logs, run commercials, answer hot-line (phone.)
·Monitor and play music as scheduled.
·Monitor liners, promos and commercials as logged.
·Review production assignments daily.
·Complete all production as assigned by date of air.
·Accurately log discrepancies.
·Monitor transmitter readings and log in accordance with Univision Radio and FCC policies.
·Maintain open communication with staff.
·Looks and acts professional.
·Abides by organizational norms and supports organizational goals.
·Remains calm and professional through stressful circumstances.
·Persists and finishes projects under deadlines.
·Follows instructions as well as take steps necessary to prevent mistakes.
·Following well-defined procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

·Requires working knowledge of Word and Outlook software packages.
·Requires the ability to make personal appearance as directed by PD.
·Requires the working knowledge of interviewing and developing rapport with guest and clients.
·Requires good verbal skills.
·Requires good interpersonal skills.
·Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish.

Experience and Education

·High School Graduate or equivalent experience in field
·3+ years on-air experience with similar job responsibilities and requirements.
