Graphic Designer / Prepress Production

BNP Media's Architecture & Construction Division, with offices in the West San Fernando Valley, has an immediate opening for a Prepress Production/Graphic Designer responsible in the production of four magazines under Sr Art Director’s supervision. This job will include scanning images, creating ads, checking supplied ads in Flightcheck to assure correct output and PDF’ing ads according to printer specifications. Converting images and text for magazine's web sites, and archiving past issues will also be the responsibility of this position.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years of Prepress experience
Highly proficient in Quark Xpress, Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, FlightCheck and Pitstop Professional on a Mac platform
Strong understanding of preparing files for computer-to-plate, using pdf technology
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast pace environment
Must work well under pressure and have the ability to adjust to
shifting priorities
Ability to communicate professionally
Design experience is helpful but not required
Bachelors degree preferred
