General Manager, TI

Purpose:
ROLE: Responsible for leading the development and growth of The Morning Call interactive brands and products, including mcall.com with the objective of growing the overall audience reach, revenue, and profitability of The Morning Call, Inc., across all media. Position is primarily responsible for leading the strategies and operations for the websites, including content, sales, marketing and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead development of strategies for all interactive brands of The Morning Call, Inc. and implement strategies for Tribune Internet operations as developed by Tribune Interactive and Tribune Classified management.
P&L responsibility for the interactive operations, including leading the budgeting process and managing financial performance to budget.
Responsible for overall site content in collaboration with newspaper marketing, sales, circulation and editorial departments.
Develop and execute plans for promotion and marketing to grow the audience for the interactive brands in collaboration with newspaper marketing group.
Collaborate with the newspaper sales divisions to create and implement plans to grow revenue from interactive products.
Selects, develops and trains managers to ensure that employees are being well managed and that an effective succession plan for management is in place.
Has the authority to hire or fire, or make suggestions and recommendations as to hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other changes of status given particular weight.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
At least 4 years Internet site management experience, with P & L responsibility.
Extensive knowledge of online publishing, marketing and sales.
Strategic and operations planning experience.
Newspaper experience a plus.
College degree; MBA preferred but not required.
