Editorial Content Manager

We deliver detailed sourcing information to the industrial buyer and we offer a wide range of online catalog and e-commerce solutions to industrial sellers. Our Editorial Content Department has a great opportunity for an energetic manager to oversee a department of 28 staffers who are responsible for the account content area of our large industrial supplier database. You will manage the processes related to creating, processing and updating accurate and timely content for the thomasnet.com website. Specific responsibilities include:

* Ensuring work product meets high data quality and customer service standards.

* Assessing and resolving complex client program issues.

* Working with management and systems staff to improve editorial systems and tools to upgrade workflow management and tracking.

* Effectively and professionally communicating through written and verbal correspondence with clients, sales representatives, other departments and management.

* Participating in problem resolution and quality control initiatives with other departments.

* Providing management with regular status reports of workflow, special projects and departmental concerns. REQUIREMENTS
- Experience managing in a data intensive, multiple project, deadline driven environment.

- Experience managing clerical and supervisory staff.

- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to trouble-shoot potential workflow issues.

- Detail oriented with a good sense of organization.

- Understanding of schedules and deadlines.

- Excellent computer skills and Internet research ability.

- A strong command of the English language for business writing purposes.

- College Degree or equivalent related experience.
