Copywriter/ Communications Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Must have excellent writing ability and up to date knowledge of English grammar; Understanding of the audience and Conseco style; General knowledge of product types and the marketplace. Must have the ability to interview subject matter experts and work under tight deadlines. Must also be able to manage multiple projects at once.
The ideal candidate will be able to write in a manner appropriate to the project's goals and audiences; develop creative concepts, proofreading, and editing; Participate with sales and marketing for campaign development & product understanding and an understanding of the audience. For example, in copywriting for a product brochure, the writer translates complex business concepts and product features into information that is compelling and understandable to the potential consumers of the product. Receiving initial direction from the creative advisor, the writer draws from subject matter experts, market research and other sources to write materials that effectively communicate. The goal is to provide valuable information and/or ideas to produce the desired outcome. The copywriter must have the versatility to write from different perspectives in different styles ; technical, educational, promotional, etc.; and for various print and electronic media, brochures, mailers/flyers, video, Internet, etc.
Will assist with planning and coordinating of communication projects, assisting the Sr. Communications Advisorsâ?? with project management and managing their own projects from start to finish.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS & QUALIFICATION:
A minimum of a 2 year degree in journalism is required. Marketing/business or related communications experience is also required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
