Business Communications Manager

Support Corporate Communications efforts on Business-related media: Broadcast, cable, trade/business print, internet media outlets. Help develop and execute proactive media plans for business and business segments. Research and oversee production of materials for business announcements: press releases, talking points, speeches, Q&A, fact sheets, media alerts, etc. Help create and maintain communications support materials. Oversee research and data mining functions of department. Candidate should have a strong understanding of investor relations and financial media, and be well versed with financial statements and able to communicate / explain to media.
REQUIREMENTS
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Corporate Communications in developing and executing proactive media plans for business and business segments.
•Research and assess incoming business-related interview requests
•Assist MSLO Finance with media outreach and communications during quarterly earnings
•Organize and help evaluate incoming business-related speaking opportunities for MSLO executives
•Assist MSLO Finance with development of investor presentations
•Research facts for Q&As
•Research facts for Talking Points
•Research facts for Facts Sheets
•Research and draft Reporter Backgrounders
•Oversee in-house industry news retrieval process for MSLO executives
•Oversee and attend corporate and business-related media events with executives (Susan Lyne, etc.)
•Coordinate research projects (Public Strategies, if applicable)
•Any other duties as assigned
