Broadcast Operations Technician III

The responsibilities of this role include:





Performs technical quality control checks on a large DBS system. Monitors on-air programming of both local and national broadcasters.

Documents technical discrepancies and reports problems to appropriate personnel.

Ensures escalation procedures to report issues in need of follow up actions.

Prepares reports detailing technical discrepancies. Report, reviews, and determines impact of outages and performs preventative / corrective actions.

Shift work is required. Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum qualifications to be considered are:



Education:
Associates Degree in a related field; or one year of related experience; and one year of relevant job experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Experience:
Associates Degree in a related field; or one year of related experience; and one year of relevant job experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior video and audio or electronics experience desired. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and interpret documents relevant to the position and to write routine reports.



Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, correspondence/procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and general public.
