Broadcast Meteorologist/Weather Producer/Repo

KPNX-TV the Gannett station in Phoenix has an opening for a broadcast meteorologist to produce weathercasts, special weather programs and webcasts, substitute anchor for all newscasts, and contribute to the station website, our 24/7 digital weather channel and other multimedia efforts. We take weather seriously and we want to tell the story with interesting video, hyper local graphics, and an emphasis on the viewer’s needs.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have three to five years experience in medium to large markets forecasting and presenting weathercasts; has a degree in meteorology, climatology, or atmospheric science; has either an NWA or AWS seal; and is fluent in the operation of computerized weather presentation systems, especially WSI. Knowledge of Phoenix and Arizona helpful. Bilingual in Spanish helpful. We put a premium on personal integrity teamwork, accountability, problem solving, a strong work ethic and winning.
