Audio Visual Technical Coordinator

Support the department's objectives of:1)Providing full-scale meeting production services for the corporation to include theme development, logistical planning and scheduling for all aspects of producttion, estimang and budget management and project management for various sizes of meetings and events.2) Providing a cost-effective, value-added resource for meetings, both at Abbott/Lake County and off-site locations, utilizing both in-house personnel and vendor resources.Coordinate, design, and estimate costs for pre-production and execution of audio visual services, complete meeting staging in support of company meetings and events (all division) such as Shareholders meeting, divisional sales meetings and divisional/corporate all-employee meetings. The individual will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and managing the resulting budget for above meetings with budgets up to $1,500,000.Consult with Abbott senior management, including CEO, COO, CFO and Corporate Officers, department colleagues and other customers to cost-effectively design and provide appropriate audio visual systems in support of meetings and events.Recommend capital investments that will cost-effectively support the company's current and future communication goals. Participate in long term capital planning in the range of $250,000 to $1,000,000 annually.Qualifications
The Technical Coordinator must possess significant experience (10 years) in the technical production of both large and small meeting and event production and satellite broadcasts. Some international experience is necessary.The individual must also have cost estimating and budget management experience, strong communication and professional interpersonal skills, knowledge required to develop project scope, estimate costs and complete projects within budget and due date, prepare production and labor schedules, and possess a working understanding of hotel, exposition center and theatrical stage unions and be able to interface effectively with labor unions.Must have 10+ years of technical knowledge of A/V installations and professional rental of A/V systems (including projection, computer based presentation, audio recording and sound reinforcement for live events, stage and video lighting, satellite broadcasts, videoconferencing, and video playback and recording).Must have 5 years of CAD drawing experience with Vectorworks software.
Bachelors in Telecommunications, Communications, Broadcast or Electrical Engineering, or other relevant field of study
