Associate Editor - Premium Books

This newly created position has project management scope for premium and bonus books, unserts, and cooking school newsstand specials including writing and editing copy. Responsibilities include choosing recipes, developing project schedules, roadmaps and specifications, developing and writing introductions, articles, tips, and how-to instructions. Additional responsibility for organizing calendar program for Country Store’s themed wall calendars. Our newest Associate Editor will work with assigned artists to edit the content and layout of all assigned products, brainstorm creative theme ideas, and serve as liaison with production on ad-related products. Remains current with and understands company products. The successful candidate demonstrates the initiative to stay current and understand company brand and products.
REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS: • Four-year degree in journalism, English, communications or related field is required. • Three to five years proven writing, editing and proofreading experience. • Strong computer skills including MacIntosh and Microsoft Word. • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with team members and other functional areas. • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail necessary to effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines • Strong attention to detail while accurately managing high volumes of work. • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
