The Glencoe division of McGraw-Hill Education has an immediate opening for an Assistant Production Editor in our Mathematics department to work in house on a project basis.

This individual will assist in the planning and execution of Mathematics programs. Will assist editorial staff by reviewing material for accuracy, readability, grammar, consistency and adherence to project specifications. Must be detail oriented and able to proofread a variety of materials in a timely manner. Check all stages of page proofs for accuracy and to ensure all corrections are made. Work closely with content editors, artists, designers, and manufacturing to ensure that project specifications and goals are implemented. Oversee photocopying and the distribution of materials. Work as a team player to meet all intermediate and final schedules.Job Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position are as follows: Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in English, journalism, or a related field. Must have strong proficiency in grammar, spelling, and writing skills. Must have excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, is required. Previous experience in the publishing industry is a plus.
